John Ditchfield worked in Credit Union development for five years before taking the (CII) Chartered Institute of Insurers, Financial Planning exams and qualifying as an Independent Financial Advisor (IFA).

As a member of the Personal Finance Society, John is currently studying for the Advanced Financial Planning certificates in Personal Investment Portfolio Planning and Taxation and Trusts. After qualifying as an IFA John worked for two years with a specialist tax planning consultancy, Park Caledonia Associates, before moving to Barchester Green Investment in November 2003. Barchester Green Investment was the UKs first ethical investment specialist Independent Financial Advice firm established in 1985. John currently advises on client investments in excess of £12 million UKBP. John’s main areas of work are: Pension and retirement planning; Investment portfolio design; Employee benefits schemes (group personal protection insurance, group personal pension schemes); Personal Insurance Protection; Ethical Investment.
