Can a college apply for charity funding?

My question is:

I work for a large college but I manage the 10 centres which are attached to it. We have the centres in deprived areas throughout the community but we rent the rooms where the PC's are. The learning stream is maintained by the college as is the software, but I would like to apply for different funding for the UK Online centre only not the whole centre. Most of the funding states it is for charities, vounteers etc as my college has charity status can I apply through my college with regards to each centre.

Regards Jean Barrs, College in the Community
