I am on the Committee of an amateur dramatics group. I have suggested moving Bank to Caf Bank (for charities) but they have told me that the group needs to be a registered charity or to provide a Certificate of Exemption for the Inland Revenue. My question is this : can an amateur group such as am-dram (or a choir, for instance) become a registered Charity and would it be a good move? Thanks for your help
