The Charity Commission’s updated flagship guide to effective governance – The Hallmarks of an Effective Charity. The revision clarifies the key principles forming the Hallmarks and reflects the increasing importance of financial prudence and accountability. The Hallmarks can be used by any charity to raise its standards and improve its effectiveness.
I represent a private sector training provider delivering the government's skills and employment agenda. Our training centres are UK learning centres and based at the heart of the communities they serve. I am interested in setting up a not-for profit social enterprise arm to the company to enable us to get involved in delivering beneficial third sector projects at a local level which we are currently ineligible to apply for due to our private sector status. Could you advise me about how to go about setting this up? Many thanks.
