Having completed the NetGain course last June and established that our charity for the homeless which operates over 4 sites would greatly benefit from a network ICT system and website development I have struggled to find funding. It's not easy to win funding in the general funding "ice age" climate and there is a dearth of ICT funding. I would therefore advise you to find funders who will fund the alleviation of homelessness and present the ICT part as building the capacity of the network.

Grant aid to voluntary and community sector organisations throughout England to provide improved support to people in accessing the advice services and benefits they may be entitled to. This includes housing, education and health services, and welfare benefits. The programme has a budget of £20 million, which will be channelled into creating expert, consistent and sustainable advice services that support a diverse range of people.

Bradford & Bingley - Community Programme At any time
Bradford & Bingley Community Programme supports projects in West Yorkshire to prevent and alleviate the causes of homelessness, and promote financial literacy. Wider community projects, such as grass roots and community sports projects are supported within the UK.
Church Urban Fund At any time
Grants are available to support faith-based community regeneration projects that tackle issues of disadvantage, poverty and marginalisation in England's inner cities, outer estates and deprived non-urban areas.
Hilden Charitable Fund At any time
Funding is available to charities in the UK and non-governmental organisations in the developing world. In the UK, the Fund supports projects concerned with: homelessness; minorities; and penal reform. In the developing world, the Fund supports projects concerned with: community development; education; and health.
John Ellerman Foundation At any time
The Foundation distributes around £4 million a year to projects falling in one of the priority areas of: health and disability, social welfare, the arts, conservation and overseas.
Mackintosh Foundation At any time
The majority of funding is given to projects in support of theatre and the performing arts. Other areas of support include the homeless, children and education, medical, community, the environment and overseas.
PF Charitable Trust At any time
Grants to a wide range of charities in the United Kingdom with priority given to medical support and research. Charities concerned with homelessness, children, poverty, the aged and conservation are also considered.
