How can I draw lines in Word?

I have word 2007 and want to draw a horizontal line from a text box and then a downwards arrow from that horizontal line. If I draw a line with underline and then add a downwards arrow by inserting a symbol and make it bigger it then does not match up with the horizontal line! Can you help? Also, how do I draw a vertical line?
