Are there any useful guides on how to use Google analytics?

We use Google Analytics to gather user stats from our website. These appear to be very comprehensive and are easy to download, but we want to be sure we are interpreting them effectively, especially when we are using them to provide evidence of performance and outcomes. Are there any user-friendly resources or training opportunities on the subject (Sussex/London)?
