The Independent/State School Partnerships Scheme (ISSP), or Building Bridges as it has come to be known, encourages collaborative working between independent and maintained schools. Support is available for partnerships which focus on gifted and talented young people, with activities centered on increasing university applications, particularly from communities where aspirations are low.
